SmokeclawWhiteowl padded out of the nursery to greet the warm razes of dawn. She stretched her back and legs and padded towards the fresh-kill pile. She would get in a bite to eat and then go and see if she was needed on any patrols. She mostly did hunting because the prey was so down for greenleaf. She had a curiosity about this clan and she wanted to meet and get to know most of the cats in the clan. She had decided to get to know each cat she has met so far. Since she spent so much time with Darkfrost she was the closest thing to a best friend, but she was curious about Smokeclaw and Summerstar. She decided to chat with Smokeclaw and talk to Summerstar later. She scanned the camp looking for the gray warrior when she felt a shadow come upon her.

Smokeclaw was going to go on a solo hunting session, since he already planned another hunting patrol at Sunhigh. He walked towards the fresh-kill pile and snatched a miniature sized mouse. He chomped it down quickly. His tongue ran over his lips. The gray tom began to go towards the entrance of the camp but spotted the white queen. He decided to socialize with Whiteowl for a while. Maybe she wanted to go hunting with him. He didn’t really know Whiteowl that well. He padded towards her silently. He said, ”Greetings Whiteowl.”

Whiteowl looked up at the gray warrior. Hello Smokeclaw, she meowed with a warm smile. She noticed that he had been heading out of the camp. Probably going hunting, she thought to herself. What are you up to? she asked gesteering that he lay down next to her so they could chat for a little bit.

Smokeclaw laid down next to the queen. I guess I can postpone my solo hunting session. He’d probably only get one addition to the fresh-kill pile anyway, knowing that the prey was running low. He began to groom his gray tabby pelt. His ears continued to listen to the white she-cat. He wasn’t sure how he should reply to her.
"Nothing much," He replied to her question. The corners of his mouth began to curve upwards into a smile. He couldn’t hold in the truth any longer. He said, "Well I was going to go hunting, but that can wait."

Whiteowl blinked her eyes at him. I'll go with you if you like, she meowed looking over at him with her large green eyes. She loved hunting and that's all that really mattered so she should help while she could.

Smokeclaw’s smile grew wider as she insisted to go hunting with him. He didn’t want to tell her that she should just stay, but she was a queen. Queen’s don’t usually help with the patrols and stuff like that. There wasn’t any kits anyway. He nodded his head.
"Ok then. Shall we go now?" He asked. He didn’t want to rush her, "Or shall we continue to chat for a little while."

Whiteowl smiled big as well. Okay lets go now, she meowed standing up. Her smile made her look like an excited young apprentice about to go out on their first hunting trip when in reality she just wanted to spend time with her friend.

Smokeclaw chuckled at her excitement. He got up from the spot he laid on and started padding towards the entrance of the camp again. He enjoyed hunting but battling was more of his forte. He just liked to help his clan.
So how's life? He asked, trying to build up a conversation between them.

Whiteowl started to follow him. She walked along side the gray tom in silence until he spoke. Oh quite boring actually... she meowed shrugging slightly. Can you tell me why the others were so against we volunteering to go hunting? she asked him looking up at him again.

"I’m not sure," Smokeclaw shrugged his bold shoulders. He thought that Whiteowl can do whatever she wants to, it’s her life. He just wanted to make her happy. If his clan is happy, then he is happy. He added, "I’ll be here to support any decision you make."
The gray tom ears perked upwards as he heard the movement of rushing water nearby. He chased towards the source of the sound, not waiting for Whiteowl. He found a small river that was very low tide, but it could work. Most of the rivers were drying up, but at least they have a little hope.

Whiteowl felt comforted at the thought that he would support her decisions. She followed Smokeclaw's gaze to where he heard something. She followed him to the river and watched him carefully. She heard something from behind her. She looked over her shoulder and walked towards it. She kept walking and scented the air. She scented mice and something else that she couldn't quite make out.

Smokeclaw focused on the miniature river, not noticing the queen's disappearance. He spotted a silver movement run through the water which sparked a light inside of him. The tabby rose his paw slightly, his body balanced out. The bright yellow orbs of his concentrated on the fish. He made sure his shadow wasn't hovering over the water. His paw then strikes into the water, making a small splash. Cold water surrounded his paw. His claws hooked onto the slippery fish's gills. He quickly pulled it out of the water. The average sized fish flopped in his hold. He placed it down next to him and pressed down on the fish, crushing it's fragile bones. A flash of happiness appeared on his face, knowing that this catch will help the clan greatly. He turned around to show Whiteowl, but disappointed that she wasn't there to see. Where is she? He kneeled down to pick up his fish and scanned the area, not spotting the she-cat. He muffled, "Whiteowl?"

Whiteowl just stared up at the object that she had scented. Twolegs. She began to back up slowly as one of them spotted her. She heard Smokeclaw call for her. She was paralyzed with fear. She had never been this near a twoleg before. Living as a rogue you didn't see too many twolegs that often. She swallowed hard. She then saw Smokeclaw. Smokeclaw... run, NOW! she hissed in his direction.

Smokeclaw spotted Whiteowl. A bright smile shown on his face which disappeared in a heartbeat. His eyes widened in shock. The tom wasn't sure what to do. He noticed the two leg running towards them. That's when he ran. He ran as fast as he could away from the weird creature. He hoped that the white queen was following close behind him. The beats of his heart pounded against his chest. When he knew the two leg wasn't behind him, he stopped to catch his breath. His slimy fish was dropped, unfortunately, when he was sprinting away from the two leg. He turned around to see if Whiteowl was behind him. Oh no. He padded slowly close to the ground. His eyes searching everywhere, trying to find the she-cat.

The twoleg had only spotted her. She needed to get it away from the clan. She knew of one place to head towards that was far away from the clan. She watched as Smokeclaw ran away. She darted off towards the direction of her old home in her old rogue territory. She ran as fast as she could. She looked over her shoulder to see the twoleg following her. She crossed the border and into rogue territory. She made sharp turns until she saw that the twoleg had lost her. She ran up a tree for safe measures to catch her breath. She looked out into her old territory. It was tempting to go back and be Snowy again but she knew she couldn't. When she felt it was safe and started walking back to Oceanclan territory. She saw Smokeclaw looking about for her frantically. She giggled softly and tapped on his shoulder with her tail. I'm right here, she meowed smiling.
